PRESENTATION OF NOISE POLLUTION


What is Noise ?
➢ Sound that which is unwanted and distrupts noise quality of life, is called known as Noise.
➢ Noise is basically any unwanted sound.
➢ Normal sound becomes undesirable when it disturbs our normal activities, Such as working, sleeping and during conversation.
➢ It is measured in dB units.

What is Noise Pollution?
❑ Sound that is unwanted or that disrupts the activity or blance of human or animal life is called as noise.
❑ When there is lot of noise in the environment, then it is termed as noise pollution.


Sources of Noise Pollution:- 
• House hold sources • Social events sources 
• Commercial and industrial sources 
• Transportation 
 




Household sources:-
▪ Gadgets like cooler, dryer, food mixer, grinder, washing machine, T.V,music systems at home kids playing, can be very noisy and injurious to health
▪ Another example animals like dog barking


Social Events:- 
▪ Party , Place of workship, market area, loud spekar 
▪ In many market areas, people sell with loud speakers, others shout out offers and try to get custmor to buy their good.


Commercial and industrial sources:- 
▪ Printing press, manufacturing industries, construction sites( pneumatic hammer, air compressors, bulldozers, loaders, Dump trucks) contribute the noise pollutions in large cities.
▪ Fans, motor, compressor.
▪ People who work with noisy equipments are required to wear noise proof gadgets.


Transporation:-
▪ Aeroplanes flying over houses close to busy airpots. 
▪ Automotive and aircraft noise, motorcycles, scooters, Noise from Rail roades.  


Effect on Human:-
▪ Lack of concerntration 
▪ Fatigue, Decreases the efficiency of a man 
 ▪ Abortion 
 ▪ It causes blood pressure 
 ▪ Interfrence with spoken communication 
 ▪ Stress, sleep distrubances 
▪ Temprorary or permanent deafness 
▪ Cardiovascular problem


Effect on Animals:- 
▪ Damages nervous system 
 ▪ They become dangerous and attacking 
▪ Death of certain species 
 ▪ Genetic and evolutionary problems 


Prevention of Noise pollution:- 
▪ Do not use car horns unnecessarily areas like Hospital, school and campus are silence zone. ▪ Don’t loud music on the radio or computer ▪ If you are working in an area there are loud noises,you must wear earplugs to prevent loss of hearing ▪ Turn of the engine of your car or motorbike when you are not using it. It stops the annoying hum, and reduces air pollution also ▪ Control at source ▪ Control in the transmission path ▪ Using protective equipment
